the best waffles

this my friends could be the answer to world peace...er...at least temporary peace around the breakfast table...or breakfast for dinner table as we often do it in our home...this is our favorite waffle recipe (and we know because we have sampled many) and we would like to share it with you...

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups of milk
1/2 cup cooking oil or butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla

1. In a medium bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and set aside.

2. In another medium bowl, beat eggs slightly, stir in milk, oil, and vanilla. Add egg mixture all at once to the flour mixture. Stir just until moistened (batter should be slightly lumpy).

3. Pour 1 1/4 cups into preheated waffle iron and cook according to manufacture instructions.

4. Slap some butter, pour on the syrup and sprinkle these bad boys with some powdered sugar and then eat until your little heart is content.

5. Send Rebecca a thank you note for sharing the best waffle recipe with her friends and family...(okay, you don't really have to do this last one).
