Today is my Dad's Birthday.
He would have been 69!
Since this blog is acting as my journal as of late, it seemed right to me that I make mention of this special day.
My Dad was the coolest guy around.
The coolest.
I wish he was still here...on Earth.
I'm selfish in that way.
If he was still here...I would have some of the best and some of the funniest stories here on my blog.
My Dad was a funny man.
My Dad was a good man.
He took the best care of his family.
Thanks for that, Rog.
We all called him Rog...short for Roger.
My mother called him "Roger Dodger".
She misses him too.
So anyway...I just wanted to make mention of this great man that I miss terribly.
Happy Birthday Dad!
We all miss you so very much.
P.S. Mr C never knew my Dad...but I know they would have loved each other...on account of they have the same (very funny) sense of humor...and the same feet!

No doubt Mr. C and Dad would have sat and made jokes of us ladies cackling in the kitchen!
So sorry to hear your Dad has passed! He loved you so much much! I remember him pulling on your toes to wake you up in the mornings. Do I remember that right? What a nice tribute! Happy Birthday Rog!

It is so hard to lose a father and grandfather. I lost my dad 3 years ago, and it seems like just yesterday. Just this morning Rachael was talking about something my husband did and referred to him as "Dad". A picture of MY dad doing it is what popped into my head. Did you lose him long ago?
