i always love when i get to sneak a peek into some one's home.
something about a little peek behind one's door really allows you to know who they are.
(after all...that is why i accompany my children straight to the front door of our neighbors homes whilst trick-or-treating...for the peek of course).
it is so very personal.
so very telling.
mr. c and i have been revamping our abode on decatur street little by little.
i think it is one of our favorite things to spend our time on.
with seven children...we have to choose to spend our time wisely...you know.
lately...our time has been focused on the kitchen...
she was an utter mess...poor thing.
so...we put some love into her...which meant...replacing the counter tops with granite straight away...refinishing the cabinets (ourselves)...changing out incredibly old and dated light fixtures (mr. c handled that one)...we added a faux copper tile back splash behind the stove(that one gets rave reviews) ...and replaced all appliances with stainless (a must in every kitchen according to my humble decorating opinion which may not be so very humble after all)...
our kitchen...our girl... feels brand new...she's lovely.
i love her...
i can hardly keep my hands off of her...
...which is okay according to my handsome mr. c...great things are coming out of this new love of mine...
...everyone needs a tea towel from anthro hanging somewhere in their kitchen...i have been collecting these for the last 5 years...this one's a favorite

ooh pretty kitchen!!! We did some major remodeling in our house too when we bought it. LOTS of work, especially since we did all the work ourselves.

Something about a lovely kitchen just makes your whole house feel better!When we moved into this house one of my first priorities was to replace the counters with granite. And paint absolutely everything;) Then it took another year or so to replace the apliances with SS. It is so worth it!
